Privacy Policy — Land Atlas Capture extension
Effective July 13, 2026
Land Atlas Capture saves land listings you choose into a Land Atlas server so they can be analyzed (soil, climate, flood risk, infrastructure). It is built to collect as little as possible and to send it only where you tell it to.
What the extension reads
- When you click it: the listing details visible on the page you're viewing — title, price, acreage, coordinates or address, photo addresses, and the listing broker's publicly displayed name and phone number.
- When auto-save is on: the same listing details, but only on the specific land-marketplace websites listed in the extension's permissions. Auto-save can be turned off in the popup at any time.
- It reads nothing else: no browsing history, no keystrokes, no data on other websites.
Where the data goes
- Captured listing data is sent to one place only: the Land Atlas server address configured in the extension's Connection settings — by default your own computer (
localhost), or the Atlas URL you were invited to.
- Nothing is ever sent to the extension's developer, to analytics services, or to any third party. There is no tracking of any kind.
What is stored in your browser
- Your settings: the Atlas server address, your access token, your contributor name, and the auto-save preference — kept in Chrome's local extension storage on your device, transmitted only to your configured Atlas server.
Selling and sharing
Captured data is not sold, rented, or shared. It is used solely to build the land-analysis map on the Atlas server you configured. Data can be deleted at any time by the Atlas owner (per-listing delete in the app).
